Information released under the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs) provide the general right of access to information held by public authorities.

Under the FOIA and EIRs you have the right to request any recorded information held by a public authority which includes information held on computers, in emails, printed or handwritten documents, images, videos and recordings.

Both the FOIA and EIRs are enforced by the Information Commissioner's Office.

Disclosure Log

The FSA’s disclosure log lists some of our responses to requests made under both the FOIA and EIRs that we consider are of wider public interest. Links to the disclosure logs for each year have been provided below.

Some of the information requested may have been withheld under an exemption provided by the FOIA or an exception provided by the EIRs. Tables setting out the permitted FOIA exemptions and EIRs exceptions are provided in the links below.

If you want to request information that is not available in our disclosure log or under our Publication Scheme then please refer to our Freedom of Information page for how to make a freedom of information request.

You can read our disclosure log criteria to find out how we decide whether to publish a response to a request at the link provided below.
