Advisory Committee on Consumer Engagement

The Advisory Committee on Consumer Engagement reviews and assesses the Agency’s consumer engagement work and provides external challenge to the Executive that they are continuing to 'put the consumer first'. The committee meets two to three times a year and produces an annual report to the Board, which is discussed at an open Board meeting.

Sharon Grant

Sharon Grant is currently Chair of London TravelWatch, the transport users' watchdog for London, and previously served as Chair of the former Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health from 2003 to 2008, setting up its 400 plus local forums across England. She also chairs a Citizens Advice Bureau, and is a is a trustee of a number of charities, with a particular interest in race equality and health. In the past she was a university lecturer in Social Policy and worked as an Parliamentary aide for 13 years. She has also been a local councillor and campaigner on health and civil rights issues.

Claire Nicholson

Claire Nicholson worked for eight years as a management consultant with PA Consulting Group before joining Sainsbury's Supermarkets where she held a number of senior roles over 10 years, in particular, gaining significant experience of using customer insight and consumer research as Director of Performance and Planning. She is currently on a career break.
