OTM rule: Agency advice

At the meeting 10 July 2003, the Board agreed a number of recommendations following discussion of the OTM Rule Review Core Stakeholder Group report and the outcome of consultation (Paper 03/07/02).

The Board is invited to note that the Chairman wrote to Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Public Health, Melanie Johnson MP, on 16 July 2003 setting out the Food Standards Agency's advice on replacing the Over Thirty Months Rule with testing.

The letter was copied to Ministers in the devolved administrations and is the Agency's advice to UK Ministers.
