Board Member
Clive Grundy became a Board Member of the Food Standards Agency in 2008. In this capacity he also sits as a Board Member of the Audit Committee.
Within a corporate career spanning thirty years, Clive has held a number of increasingly senior management positions in the manufacturing and service sectors working for Chrysler, Massey Ferguson, Grand Metropolitan and Compass Group, where he became the Group Human Resources Director on the PLC Board from 2002 until 2005.
In this role, Clive's responsibilities included Board level Strategy Design; Food Safety, Health and Hygiene; Corporate Social Responsibility as well as Human resources. (Compass Group is a FTSE 100 contract catering and food services company, which by 2005 employed around 480,000 people in 90 countries).
A multiple award winner for human resources policies, procedures and practices, Clive received an Honorary Doctorate in Business Management from Revans University in 2004 for his internationally recognised workplace learning and development initiatives.
Clive chaired the UK Leisure Sector committee within the National Apprenticeship Task Force from 2004. The findings of the Task Force were submitted to government in 2005.
In 2006, Clive joined CPS, a bespoke company that provides directors, senior teams and boards with executive support and leadership development opportunities that link top team performance to business and organisation success. Clive has a particular interest in coaching those moving from senior executive roles to director positions for the first time.
