Complaints
Monday 25 June 2007
This paper provides the annual report to the Board on complaints made against the Food Standards Agency, and covers the year 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007.
A total of 10 complaints were recorded in this period, all of which were either resolved locally by policy divisions, resolved by the FSA Complaints Co-ordinator, or resolved by the Chief Executive on internal review.
The paper also reports on a review of the current Food Standards Agency complaints procedure and, as a result, makes several proposals to improve current processes and to embed effective complaints handling in the organisation.
