    ACAF advises on the safety and use of animal feeds and feeding practices, with particular emphasis on protecting human health, and with reference to new technical developments.

    The Food Standards Agency holds annual meetings to discuss a range of topical feed-related issues with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Advisory Body for the Delivery of Official Controls

    The Advisory Body for the Delivery of Official Controls was set up in December 2007 in response to the Tierney Review of the Delivery of Official Controls in Approved Meat Premises.

    The Food Standards Agency has set up an incidents task force to strengthen existing controls in the food chain.

  • Stakeholder Group on Current and Future Meat Controls

    The Current and Future Meat Controls Stakeholder Group (CFMC) is the core group of key meat stakeholders. The Group’s main purpose is to inform the Agency's work in developing proposals for more risk-based and proportionate meat hygiene and TSE/SRM requirements and the official controls relating to those requirements. The first meeting of this Group took place on 25 June 2010.
