Product recall of Breaktime strawberry flavoured milk

Heads of Environmental Health and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware of a product recall notice by Arla Foods PLC of their Breaktime brand Strawberry Flavoured Milk in 500ml plastic bottles with a Best Before date of 21 February 04 batch code C3274.

Arla Foods plc is taking this action as a precautionary measure, following the discovery of damage to the silver foil lids of a small number of 500ml bottles with the best before date of 21 February 04.

No other Breaktime brand products are known to be affected and this recall only relates to the Strawberry flavour.

Arla Foods plc are recalling the product from its customers and is issuing a product recall notice in national newspapers from Monday 22 December 2003.
