Product recall of Bacardi Breezers 70cl and Coomira Coast 70cl

Heads of environmental health services and directors of trading standards will wish to be aware of a product recall by Bacardi-Martini Ltd (UK) of all Bacardi Breezers in 70cl bottles and Coomira Coast in 70cl bottles due to the possibility of glass breakage.
The products recalled are:
Bacardi Breezer all flavours in 70cl bottles
Coomira Coast in 70cl bottles
The products are normally packed into cases each containing six bottles.
The batches known to be affected are:
All 70cl bottles of both products with screw caps need to be withdrawn from sale.
No other Bacardi-Martini products are known to be affected.
Bacardi-Martini Ltd (UK) will be issuing a product recall notice in the national newspapers which will appear from 8th October 2003. A customer helpline has also been established on 0800 252 038

Bacardi Breezer & Coomira Coast (70cl size ONLY)
As a precautionary measure we are recalling all bottles of Big Bottle Bacardi Breezer & Coomira Coast (70cl size only)
Whilst the product itself is in perfect condition, on very rare occasions there have been breakages. We are taking all necessary steps to investigate the reasons for these breakages.
However, in order to protect our consumers we would like you to take the following action. If you have a Big Bottle of Bacardi Breezer or Coomira Coast (70cl size only)
1. Read the label and check the bottle size.
2. If 70cl size, remove the unique screw cap top and retain as your proof of purchase.
3. Remove the liquid
4. Dispose of the bottle carefully
5. Call FREEPHONE 0800 252 038 so that we can arrange for cap collection and the issuing of a Free Product Voucher.
ONLY BIG BOTTLES (70CL SIZE) OF BACARDI BREEZER & COOMIRA COAST ARE AFFECTED
No other bottle size or pack formats of Bacardi Breezer & Coomira Coast are affected and no pack sizes of Breezer Twist are affected.
