Coors Brewers Ltd recall Reef Orange and Passion Fruit alcoholic drink

Coors Brewers Ltd has recalled a batch of 700 ml Reef Orange and Passion Fruit alcoholic drink due to a build up of excessive carbonation, creating a risk that some bottles may burst on handling.

Coors Brewers has undertaken a full product recall. Product recall notices are to be placed in national press on 8 July 2005.

The product recalled is
Reef 700ml Orange & Passionfruit
Best before end: 31/05/06
Lot Code: LY5140B

Only bottles with this best before date are known to be affected. No other flavours or bottle sizes are known to be affected. Bottles coded A, C and D (instead of 'B') are not known to be affected.

A copy of the product recall notice issued by Coors Brewers Ltd is attached to this Food Alert and a consumer helpline has been set up.
