G Costa and Company has recalled a certain date code of Blue Dragon brand 410g canned Chinese Stir-fry vegetables, due to a can defect resulting in leakage and possible post-processing contamination.
G Costa and Company has recalled the product on a precautionary basis from all of its customers. Product recall notices will be placed in the national press and stores as of 27 June 2007 to alert consumers of the problem and advise them of what actions to take if they have purchased the product.

Product Recall
410g Can, Blue Dragon Chinese Stir Fry Vegetables
G Costa and Company today announces the precautionary product recall of Blue Dragon Chinese Stir Fry Vegetables, 410g can.
A packaging fault has been identified in a small number of cans of this product to date, with Best Before dates in December 2008. The fault is a potential area of weakness in the side seam of the can, which may affect the quality of the product.
The date coding appears printed on the end of the can in the format below BB: XX122008.
Peter Baxendell, Commercial Director of G Costa and Company said: 'The health and safety of our customers is our number one priority. Since we have been made aware of the problem we have taken all the necessary measures to remove the product from sale and inform our consumers about what they should do if they have bought this product. There have been no consumer complaints to date. This is just a precautionary measure.'
Consumers may notice one of the following: damage to the label, a small hole in the can, spoilage of food and liquid lost from the can of vegetables.
If you have bought this product, please return it to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
No other Blue Dragon products or date codes are affected.
