Further update on Holland and Barrett recall of Nature's Harvest Sesame Seeds products due to salmonella contamination

Food Alert for Information 31/2007 issued on 12 October 2007 and updated on 18 October 2007 concerned the recall of certain batches of products containing sesame seeds due to contamination with Salmonella.
The Agency has been advised that Holland and Barrett has now recalled a further batch of Nature’s Harvest Sesame Seed product due to contamination with salmonella. Holland and Barrett has also withdrawn a number of other products containing sesame seeds from the same source on a precautionary basis.
Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all Holland and Barrett stores. These notices will advise customers of the reason for the recall and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected products. Publicity regarding the actions taken will also appear on the Holland and Barrett website.
