Sainsbury’s withdraws batches of its own brand breakfast cereal selection packs due to the presence of small insects

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd has undertaken a withdrawal of certain date codes of their own brand of breakfast cereal selection packs (225g), due to the presence of small insects within the Honey Nut Cornflakes pack.
Sainsbury's has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected batches and point-of-sale notices have been displayed in stores to notify the public of the withdrawal. The notice advises consumers of the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected product.
The product withdrawn is:
- Sainsbury's Breakfast Cereal Selection Packs 225g – Honey Nut Cornflake Pack
- Best Before Feb 2008 and Mar 2008
No other batch codes or Sainsbury's products are known to be affected

These products have been removed from sale because small insects have been found in some batches of the honey nut cornflake pack.
If you have purchased this product, please dispose of the contents and return the packaging to your nearest Sainsbury’s for a full refund.
No other products or date codes are affected. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
