Premier Foods is recalling one batch code of Loyd Grossman Korma sauce due to contamination with Clostridium botulinum.

Batch code: 1218R (XX:XX)*
*XX:XX denotes time of manufacture
Best Before Date: February 2013
Action taken by the company:
Premier Foods is recalling the affected product from UK consumers. Notices are being displayed in retail stores explaining to consumers the reason for recall and the actions they can take if they have bought the affected product. UK press adverts will be placed in the national media on Tuesday 15 November 2011. A copy of the recall notice from Premier Foods is attached to this notice.
Advice to consumers:
Only one jar from the batch has been found to be contaminated with Clostridum botulinum, which causes botulism, but the Agency is advising consumers not to eat jars from this batch as a precautionary measure.

No other Loyd Grossman or Premier Foods products are known to be affected.
