Tesco Stores Ltd recalls one date code of its own brand Prawn Masala and Pilau Rice due to incorrect date coding

One batch of the affected product has been labelled with an incorrect date code of 22 September. This product should have been labelled with a use by date of 22 August. Consumption of products past their intended ‘use by’ date could present a risk to health.

The company is recalling the affected products from consumers. Product recall notices will be displayed in stores that sell the products, explaining to consumers to return the product back to the place of purchase. A copy of the product recall notice issued by Tesco Stores Ltd is attached.

No other Tesco Stores Ltd products are known to be affected
