Makro recalls certain batch codes of various 'tapas' brand meat products due to high levels of listeria monocytogenes

Makro is recalling certain batches of various 'Tapas' brand meat products because some packs were found to contain high levels of Listeria monocytogenes.
Tapas Chorizo Sliced
Pack sizes: 80g and 200g
Tapas Serrano Ham Sliced
Pack sizes: 80g and 300g
Tapas Trio Sliced (this product contains Serrano Ham, Chorizo Sausage and Salchichon)
Pack size: 150g
Batch and date codes:
All products purchased after 6 October 2011.
Action taken by the company:
The company, Makro, has recalled the affected products from customers and letters notifying customers who have purchased the product have been sent out today, 10 January 2012. Recall notices have also been issued and will be displayed in stores along with selected trade and regional publications and their internet sites, explaining the reason for the recall and the actions customers can take if they have bought the affected product(s). No other Makro products are known to be affected.
