Farmfoods withdraws a number of own brand pre-packed cooked meats

Farmfoods has withdrawn a number of own brand pre-packed cooked meats due to the durability indication being described as ‘best before’ rather than ‘use by’.

The incorrect durability label may lead consumers to believe the product is safe to eat after the date indicated on the packaging has expired as it is described as ‘best before’ rather than ‘use by’.

All date codes of the following products:

• Farmfoods Cooked Ham, 200g
• Farmfoods Honey Roast Ham, 300g
• Farmfoods Lean Ham, 300g
• Farmfoods Lean Breaded Ham, 300g
• Farmfoods Pork Luncheon Meat, 250g
• Farmfoods Garlic Sausage, 250g
• Farmfoods Wafer Thin Ham, 400g

Farmfoods has undertaken a withdrawal of these products from all of its stores. Point-of-Sale notices are being displayed in stores advising consumers of the need to consume the product by the date on the packaging and within two days of opening.

No other Farmfoods products are known to be affected

If you have purchased the above product(s), please do not consume the product beyond the durability date shown on the label and within two days of opening.
