Executive Summary
The Authority was able to demonstrate effective arrangements for its sampling activities, having strong well established liaison with neighbouring authorities and the Public Health Laboratory Service, with which it had a Service level agreement.
The Authority’s food service operated in line with a regional quality management system that aimed to provide a standardised approach to the food law enforcement services throughout North Yorkshire. This included sampling.
The Authority was adhering to its sampling policy and programme, and appropriate follow up action was being taken in response to unsatisfactory sample results in accordance with the Authority's Enforcement Policy. Where appropriate, the Authority participated fully in regional and national sampling surveys.
