Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland with a population of around 600,000. It has a diverse business community, including a high number of food businesses operated by members of ethnic minority communities. There are also complex buildings containing multiple food outlets such as department stores, major hotels and restaurants. The food-manufacturing base is relatively small.
The Authority's Strengths
Service Plan - A Service Plan has been produced which meets the requirements of the standard.
Food Complaints - These have been followed up in accordance with the Authority's procedure.
Liaison with Other Organisations - The Authority has in place arrangements for liaison with other appropriate bodies.
Feedingstuffs - The Authority is addressing its responsibilities for feedingstuffs enforcement.
