Good practice identified during local authority audits in Scotland
Monday 26 June 2006
When local authorities are to be audited by the Food Standards Agency Scotland they are asked to identify any area of work falling within the Framework Agreement on Local Authority Food Law Enforcement that the authority would want to nominate as an example of good practice.
Any examples of good practice given are passed to the Scottish Audit Advisory Committee for onward referral to the Scottish Food Enforcement Liaison Committee (SFELC) for distribution.
Areas of good practice are nominated by the local authorities themselves and therefore any reference to good practice identified does not constitute or imply its endorsement or recommendation by the Food Standards Agency Scotland.
SFELC is a group that co-ordinates the food law enforcement and sampling and surveillance activities of Scottish local authorities and its membership includes the Food Standards Agency Scotland, the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS), local authorities and other enforcement stakeholders.
