Meat Hygiene Service strategic plan

This Strategic Plan, developed by the Meat Hygiene Service (MHS), sets out the direction that the organisation intends to take over the next five years from 2005–2009.
The objectives that the MHS must meet in order to achieve its vision of the future are set out, and a number of strategic priorities linked to these objectives are highlighted.
The MHS will be faced with a number of challenges over the coming years (such as responding to the requirements of the new EU Hygiene Regulations), and, where possible, such challenges have been anticipated in the plan. However, the plan will be reviewed annually to ensure that any unanticipated challenges are accounted for.
