MHS audits
The performance of Meat Hygiene Service staff in approved premises in Great Britain is subject to audit by the Food Standards Agency. The audits determine whether MHS operations, practices and activities comply with the requirements specified in the MHS Manual for Official Controls, including relevant legislation and codes of practice.

Keeping in touch with industry
The Meat Hygiene Service is committed to providing excellent customer service. In order to continually improve our services we use a number of communication channels to engage actively with our customers and stakeholders. One of the methods of obtaining feedback from food business operators is by way of our annual industry satisfaction survey.
