Nutrient Profiling: Update of 2004 literature review
Monday 31 March 2008
As part of the current review of the Agency's Nutrient Profiling (NP) model, the NP Review Panel requested an update to the previous literature review to ensure familiarity with all relevant scientific developments in the area. The updated literature review provides information on national and international developments in NP models and their intended purpose.
The literature review was carried out by the British Heart Foundation Health Promotion Research Group (Oxford University), the team who developed the Agency’s NP model for broadcast restrictions. The literature review was peer reviewed by Dr Adam Drewnowski (University of Washington Centre for Obesity Research) and Dr Dorothy Mackerras (Food Standards Australia New Zealand).
The final report is available at the link below.
