Advertising media

The Food Advertising Unit, a centre for information, communication and research in the area of food and soft drink advertising, has relevant briefing papers.
Incorporated Society of British Advertisers (ISBA) information on Food advertising.
The Advertising Standards Authority, the independent regulator of non-broadcast advertising has copies of all ASA rulings dating back to January 1999, searchable by advertiser name, sector and issue. The 'Issues' section also contains background information on advertising to children, and food and drink advertising. The British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing can be downloaded from the site.
The ITC advertising standards code can be viewed on the Independent Television Commission's website.
The Advertising Education Forum, a non-profit, academically neutral organisation, offers a comprehensive database of information on advertising and children and related issues. AEF also provides information on advertising self-regulation in Europe.

Government

Department of Health Annual Report 2002 chapter on obesity.
