Games and quizzes
The Agency has produced a selection of interactive games and quizzes for young people aged from 5 up to 14 years old. These will help them to learn about and test their knowledge on a range of food-related issues.
Dish it up
Dish it up is an interactive CD-ROM developed to help teachers make learning about food fun for young people (11 to 12 years). Informed by pupils’ feedback, the resource brings the subject of food and making healthier food choices to life in an enjoyable and fun way.
Food and cookery clubs
'What's cooking?' is a practical guide to setting up and running community and school food clubs. It's aimed at anyone who would like to help young people choose, cook and eat safe, healthy food.
Myfoodspace
Myfoodspace is an interactive DVD-ROM developed to help teachers engage young people (9 to 11 years) in learning about food labelling within the background of healthy eating and a balanced diet.
Strictly Yum Dancing
Strictly Yum Dancing is the FSA's fun show communicating healthy eating and food safety messages. Launched at the 2006 BBC Good Food Show at the NEC in Birmingham, the show features eight dancing foods, who each promote a different healthy eating tip. Genie Jean the Hygiene Queen communicates some vital food safety messages too.
