On Wednesday 6 July, the Food Standards Agency partnered with Neighbourly to host a cross industry round table event entitled 'Addressing the challenges in food waste redistribution' which was attended by over 50 industry leaders. The purpose of the event was to understand how and where the FSA can initiate action, in particular in relation to date marking.
IKEA is recalling six chocolate products because the presence of hazelnut and/or almond is not mentioned correctly in the ingredients list. This means the products are a possible risk for anyone with an allergy to hazelnut and/or almond. The products recalled are in addition to two chocolate products recalled on 27 June.

A company has applied to the FSA for Inositol Stabilised Arginine Silicate, a new form of the nutrient Arginine, to be approved for use in the European Union (EU) as a food ingredient under Regulation (EC) 258/97. Views of the public are sought to inform the risk assessment of this product.
