Iceland recalls beef in oyster sauce noodles

Due to a packaging error, Iceland’s Beef in Oyster Sauce Noodle Bowl contains undeclared peanut, fish and shellfish. These undeclared allergens pose a public health risk to those allergic or sensitive to peanuts, fish or shellfish, so the Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.

People with an allergy to peanuts, fish or shellfish are advised not to eat this product.

Iceland has recalled the product from sale and has contacted its customers and the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the issue. No other Iceland products are known to be affected.

Allergy alerts

Sometimes there will be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold. Then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
