Taking the Red Tape Challenge
Minimising the burden on industry is a top priority for the Government. On 6 May FSA legislation was published on the Government’s Red Tape Challenge website to give all our stakeholders the opportunity to comment on our current legislation.
The Agency’s legislation can be found under the Hospitality theme, in Food and Drink Safety Requirements, and will remain on the site until 2 June. This is an opportunity to make suggestions about which FSA regulations are working and which are not; what should be scrapped and what should be simplified. At the same time the FSA is reviewing its stock of legislation, and will report to the Government on the outcome later in the year. The Red Tape Challenge site is designed to promote open discussion and your comments will be valuable in informing our review.
