The golden Games
The London 2012 Olympic Games are coming to a close, the Paralympic Games are just around the corner, and the Food Standards Agency has published its third Play it Safe newsletter for stakeholders, including food businesses, catering groups and tourism organisations.
This Olympics edition has details of the additional food safety help available from the Agency’s Incidents Team. The team will be available during extended hours, seven days a week. Food businesses, local enforcement and the public can contact them for advice on food safety issues, such as food poisoning, contamination and food fraud.
The newsletter also features an interview with a London port health officer, who explains the preparations that have been taking place in readiness for the Games.
