GACS open meeting agenda published
The General Advisory Committee on Science (GACS) is issuing an open invitation to its tenth meeting, which will be held in London on Wednesday 31 October 2012.
GACS provides independent challenge and advice on how the Food Standards Agency collects and uses scientific evidence.
At the meeting the committee will be discussing reports from the FSA's Chief Scientist, papers on science and on horizon scanning in the Scientific Advisory Committees, and a report on the Agency's evidence portfolio.
There will also be a presentation on the National Diet and Nutrition Survey from Dr Ann Prentice, chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition and a first report from the GACS working group on Science Communication and Engagement.
