Attend an open meeting on social science

The Social Science Research Committee (SSRC) has issued an invitation to its next meeting, which will be held at the Food Standards Agency in London on Wednesday 3 October 2012.

The SSRC is an independent advisory committee that provides advice to the Agency about how it gathers and uses social science evidence.

The agenda items to be discussed at the meeting next week include:

  • updates from the SSRC chair and secretary
  • behavioural economics
  • healthy eating work in FSA Scotland and FSA Northern Ireland
  • advisory group updates

Anyone with an interest in these subjects, or the work of the SSRC, is invited to attend this meeting. After the committee discussions, observers will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session.

Registration starts at 12.45pm, and the meeting is scheduled to run from 1pm to 4pm.
