Food Allergen Management Workshop

The Food Standards Agency and Zero2Five Food Industry Centre are holding a Food Allergen Management Workshop at Cardiff Metropolitan University on Thursday 21 November 2pm - 4pm. The workshops are intended for food business operators, such as food manufactures, food processors and caterers

Agenda items include:

  • scene-setting/prevalence of food allergies and intolerances
  • current food-allergen rules and changes due to take effect in December 2014
  • ‘may contain’ labelling/progress on defining thresholds for food allergen management

Each item will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

The workshop will be presented by Sue Hattersley, Head of Food Allergy Branch at the FSA and supported by officials from the Food Standards Agency in Wales.
