February issue of FSA e-News published
The latest issue of FSA e-News has been published and is available online. The newsletter includes news and updates on some of the Agency’s activities over the past month
Stakeholders may be particularly interested in the Agency’s investigation into the presence of horse meat in products labelled as beef that has dominated the headlines in the past few weeks, including details of our four-point plan of action. We also have a report on our food fraud team and how they work alongside local authorities all over the UK to deal with national and international incidents such as the mislabelling of meat.
In the rest of our pages there is the roll-out of our campaign highlighting the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme and the Food Hygiene Information Scheme. It aims to remind the public not to use appearance alone as a way of judging the hygiene of a place they plan to eat at. There are also updates on the Food Hygiene Ratings Scheme, which is spreading its reach.
We also have reports of consultations that are under way, summaries of the latest FSA research and a look at our Forward Evidence Plan for 2013 for your feedback.
You will find a pdf of the February issue at the link below and also receive email alerts about the publication of FSA e-News by subscribing.
