Joint Food Standards Agency Scotland and Scottish Executive Task Force on E.coli O157

The Task Force on E.coli O157, led by Professor Bill Reilly, of the Scottish Centre for Infection and Environmental Health has now concluded its study and a copy of the Final Report is now available.
This Report is the conclusion of 10 months work looking at the sources of E.coli O157, the risks and measures to avoid or minimise exposure to infection. The subjects of study and expertise of participants spanned a wide spectrum of areas including human health, waste, water, land use, animals and food.
Some 150 organisation and individuals with a close interest in E.coli O157 have taken part including experts from health, animal, environmental and food interests.
