Campylobacter seminar for local authorities
Friday 27 May 2005
The Food Standards Agency is holding a seminar for Environmental Health Officers to help reduce the burden of Campylobacter infection.
The seminar, which is an Agency funded in collaboration with Local Authorities Coordinators of Regulatory Services (LACORS), Health Protection Agency (HPA) and National Public Health Service for Wales (NPHS-Wales), will take place on 7 July 2005 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
The seminar will look at the Agency's Campylobacter Strategy and how local authorities are playing a role in this important public health strategy. It will provide an opportunity for discussion between local authorities already involved in poultry meat surveillance and those who may want to participate, along with an open discussion forum with the national Agencies involved.
