Agency's research needs published

The Food Standards Agency today published its latest list of requirements for research needed to support its work.
Topics of interest include chemicals that get into food from packaging and other materials and on making sure foods are correctly described and labelled.
The full list of topics is:
- chemical contaminants from food contact materials
- microbial surveillance
- food law enforcement
- food authenticity
The Agency is also looking to appoint programme advisers/programme co-ordinators in a number of areas including:
- microbiological safety research
- microbiological risk management research
- organic waste research programme
- food law enforcement
All applications must be received, in both hard copy and by email, by 5pm on Friday 12 January 2007 unless otherwise indicated in the details of the specific requirement.
