WFAC meeting on 6 September 2007
Monday 20 August 2007
The Welsh Food Advisory Committee of Food Standards Agency Wales is holding an evening open meeting in Cardiff on Thursday 6 September.
Following the business meeting there will be a presentation 'Enabling consumers to eat a balanced diet'. This will be given by Gill Fine, the Agency’s Head of Consumer Choice and Dietary Health (pictured), who will be speaking on 'Eating for Health', a key target for the Agency in its Strategic Plan. Also included will be the allergy action plan and the European Union food labelling review. This will be followed by a report on the review into the Sudan I industrial dye incident that took place in February and March 2005.
Anyone with an interest in these fields is invited to attend this meeting, to share their views on issues that matter to them, and to participate in an open question and answer session.
The meeting will be held at The Scott Room, The Royal Hotel, 10 St Mary Street, Cardiff CF10 1DW from 5.30pm – 8pm.
The Welsh Food Advisory Committee (WFAC) gives advice and information to the Food Standards Agency on its operations in Wales. As part of its commitment to openness, it regularly holds open meetings across the country.
