Food experts come to Glasgow
Wednesday 21 February 2007
Consumers in Glasgow will be able to ask questions about any food-related topic that interests or concerns them at the Scottish Food Advisory Committee (SFAC) meeting on Wednesday 28 February.
Topics for discussion include the Food Standards Agency Scotland's Enforcement Projects, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the Agency's 2007-08 events programme.
Professor Graeme Millar CBE, SFAC Chairman (pictured), said: 'We want people to come along, listen to the discussion and share their views on the food-related issues that matter to them.
'The meeting is open to members of the public, food producers, retailers, local authority representatives and anyone else with an interest in food. We are committed to listening to the views of Scottish stakeholders and putting consumers first.'
The meeting takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Congress Road, Glasgow, between 9.30am and noon.
Registration is essential and starts at 9.15am. Members of the public wishing to attend the meeting can register in advance by contacting:
