New rules on bovine hides in England

The Agency has informed stakeholders about The Bovine Products (Restriction on Placing on the Market) (England) (No.2) Amendment Regulations 2007 SSI 2007 No. 338 coming into force.

The regulation allows the hides of cattle born or reared within the UK before 1 August 1996 cattle to be used for leather production. The restrictions on products derived from prohibited animals have not changed in any other way.
