Agency publishes saturated fat research
Monday 21 May 2007
The Agency has today published new research which explores people’s views of saturated fat and energy in their food. The in-depth qualitative research examines a range of different issues that affect people’s fat intakes including dietary choices, shopping and cooking habits, and food labelling.
The Agency is currently consulting on its draft saturated fat and energy intake programme, which aims to reduce saturated fat intakes because levels in the UK diet tend to be too high.
This research, together with consultation responses, will help the Agency tailor its consumer awareness and partnership activities to best effect.
