Smoked salmon recalled

The Scotch Smoked Salmon Company Ltd has recalled batches of Scottish smoked salmon due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The Food Standards Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.

No other Scotch Smoked Salmon Company Ltd products are known to be affected.
The product was supplied to premises within the London boroughs and Watford, Hertfordshire. The Scotch Smoked Salmon Company Ltd has withdrawn all packs from the identified batches of this product as a precautionary measure and is arranging for point-of-sale-notices to be displayed at all its retail outlets. These notices advise consumers of the reason for the recall and says they can obtain a full refund if they take the affected product back to the retailer.
