Lamb meat and offal recall

The Food Standards Agency has written to industry and enforcement stakeholders to alert them about the ongoing food safety incident where certain batches of Welsh Country Foods Ltd lamb meat and offal have been recalled due to the possible presence of veterinary medicine residues.
The letter, which is supported by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, an executive agency of DEFRA, seeks the help of industry and enforcement authorities in taking appropriate action to prevent the incident from happening again.
