Contractor sought to provide management and facilitation services
Tuesday 8 April 2008
The Food Standards Agency Scotland (FSAS) is seeking a contractor to carry out management and facilitation services to a teachers panel for Scotland for the proposed duration of the three-year project.
FSAS do not have direct access to educational advice, therefore a panel of educational experts will be set up to review and identify gaps in current resources and to provide advice on the development of resources for the future. The panel will also ensure the activities reflect the FSA Food Competencies and the new Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. A pilot panel took place in January 2008 and this provided the structure for rolling out the project for the next three years.
The principal objective of contract is to enable FSAS to establish future panel meetings with teaching professionals by setting up a contract for the organisation, management and facilitation of the panel over the next three years. It is expected that the panel will meet twice a year in a Scottish location. There may also be ad hoc requests for information/advice from panel members on selected items.
We aim to award the contract by July 2008, with a start date on 31 August 2008. The contract duration is three years. The first panel meeting is scheduled for September 2008.
To obtain further details and a pre-qualification questionnaire please email procurement@foodstandards.gsi.gov.uk. In your email please mention 'Management and Facilitation Services Scotland'.
Completed questionnaires must be returned in hard copy by midday on Wednesday 30 April 2008.
