FSA News supplement on the Meat Hygiene Service
Wednesday 7 May 2008
Find out more about the Meat Hygiene Service (MHS) and how it’s fulfilling its responsibilities better than ever. A special supplement on the MHS and its transformation is available in the latest issue of FSA News.
Articles outline how safe meat is a priority for the Food Standards Agency, the responsibilities carried out by the MHS, and the successes, so far, of the transformation project.
The supplement also contains a view from industry, a ‘day in the life’ of a senior MHS inspector, information on how the FSA gets independent advice on the delivery of official controls, and much more.
The main issue of the magazine highlights the forthcoming Food Safety Week, organised again this year by the Agency, news from Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland, and a special series of features on international collaboration on food safety.
