Bottled water legislation seminar 16 December 2009
Friday 9 October 2009
The Food Standards Agency will be hosting a seminar on bottled water legislation on Wednesday 16 December at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manchester as part of continuing commitment to engage with producers and local authorities to support practical understanding of food law.
The course will be for a whole day, with the morning consisting of presentations about bottled water legislation – these can be viewed by clicking on the links below. This includes the legislation covering bottled water (natural mineral water, spring water and bottled drinking water), challenges and the practical issues with enforcement, a short primer course on hydrogeology and microbiological aspects of the regulations. The morning session is open to industry and local authority participants.
A buffet lunch will be supplied.
The afternoon session will be for local authority participants only and will look at some scenarios involving groundwater and other bottled water sources.
The seminar will contribute towards continuing professional development for environmental health officers and trading standards officers.
