Marks and Spencer recalls some of its Chinese range

Marks and Spencer is recalling four products from its Chinese range with a ‘use by’ date of 9 March 2012. They should have been labelled with a ‘use by’ date of 9 February 2012. Eating products past their intended 'use by' date could present a risk to health. The Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

The products, all with ‘use by’ dates of 9 March, being recalled are:
- Marks & Spencer Crispy Prawn Wonton
- Unique product code: 0788076
- Marks & Spencer Crispy Vegetable Balls
- Unique product code: 0685191
- Marks & Spencer Prawn Baguette Toast
- Unique product code: 0709859
- Marks & Spencer Prawn Siu Mai Selection
- Unique product code: 0600965
Marks & Spencer is recalling the affected products from consumers. Customer notices have been displayed in stores, explaining why the products have been recalled.
If you have bought the affected products, you can return them to the store for a full refund.
No other Marks & Spencer products are known to be affected.
About product withdrawals and recalls
If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
