The Agency has recently published The Food Safety Order 1991: A Guide for Food Businesses.
It sets out the roles and responsibilities of businesses under the Order, as well as details of its enforcement.
We advise managers of large and medium-sized businesses to read the guide in detail and to let their staff know the main responsibilities outlined in the introduction.
Small businesses should also be aware of these responsibilities and may use the rest of the guide for reference about the Order.
