Sainsbury's recalls one date code of its own-brand Pumpkin Quadrotti Pasta due to incorrect allergen information

Risk:

Due to a packaging error, the above product contains prawn-filled pasta instead of pumpkin-filled pasta, resulting in incorrect allergen labelling. This makes the product a potential health risk to people who are allergic to or intolerant of shellfish (prawns) or fish.

Action taken by the Company:

The company has removed the implicated batch from sale. Customer notices will be displayed in stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the recall and the actions they can take if they have purchased the product. A copy of the customer notice issued by Sainsbury's is attached to this alert. In addition, the company will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations who will inform their at risk members of the recall.

No other Sainsbury’s products are known to be affected

Advice to consumers:

Customers with an allergy to or intolerance of shellfish (prawns) or fish are advised not to eat this product.
