Action taken by the company
The company is recalling the implicated batch from sale. Customer notices will be displayed in Budgens and Londis stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the recall and the actions they can take if they have purchased this product. A copy of the customer notice issued by Musgraves is attached to this alert. The relevant allergy associations are being contacted.
No other SuperValu products are known to be affected.
Advice to consumers
Customers with an allergy to prawns and other crustaceans are advised not to eat this product but to take it back to the nearest store for a full refund.
