This incident has occurred due to a packing error with Sainsbury’s frozen Be Good To Yourself Chicken Tikka Masala. Some packs have been incorrectly filled and contain sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice. This product contains the following allergens that are not declared on the packaging: egg, wheat gluten, barley gluten and soya. This makes the product unsafe for consumers who are allergic or intolerant to egg, wheat and soya or who are on a coeliac diet.

Action taken by the company
Sainsbury's Supermarkets Limited has withdrawn the implicated batch. Customers have also been made aware of this issue (a copy of the point-of-sale notice is attached to this allergy alert). In addition, Sainsbury's Supermarkets Limited has contacted the Anaphylaxis Campaign and Allergy UK, which will inform their at-risk allergic members of the withdrawal.
No other Sainsbury’s products are affected.
Advice to consumers
Customers with an allergy or intolerance to egg, wheat or soya, or who are on a coeliac diet are advised not to eat this product but to return it to any Sainsbury’s store where they will receive a full refund.
