Action taken by the company
The affected products were manufactured by Coldwater Seafood UK Ltd. The Asda Extra Special brand fish pie product has only been sold through Jack Fulton Freezer Centres, and the Quality Foods Luxury brand Fish Pie has been sold through MAS Frozen Foods. No other Asda product or product sold in Asda stores is affected by this recall. Point-of-sale notices will displayed in all stores informing customers of the reason for the recall and the actions they should take if they have purchased the affected product. In addition, Coldwater Seafood UK Ltd. has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the recall.
No other Quality Foods or Asda branded products or batch codes are known to be affected.
Advice to consumers
Customers with an egg allergy should not consume these products.
